GSG-522! The best MP-5 Style Plinker!
In connection with the proceedings concerning the GSG-5, the companies GSG/ATI and H&K USA had come to an agreement out of court. GSG/ATI will replace, starting from now for the US Market, the model GSG-5 by successor GSG-522 for a better differentiation of GSG- and HK-products on the civil weapon market. For Europe the change will be in March 2010. This legal action has given GSG/ATI the reason to improve the GSG-5.

The GSG-522 has the established features of MP5-Style-Rifles, but with visual improvements which also meet a better functional purpose.

Firstly the better grip of the cocking lever, which is now the same for the standard as well as for the SD-type. Secondly the improved open sights for faster aiming which is more convenient for Target-Shooting. Thirdly the GSG-522 comes with a removable Weaver Rail, which allows the customer to fix an optical device at customer´s option. The ergonomically handle with Anti-Slip-Points is re-designed as well as the new safety lever.

Additionally a loop has been fixed to the trigger guard and the lever of the magazine holder has been widen. To stick to established engineering the GSG-522 got the same motor than the GSG-5 to ensure furthermore the shooting of different sorts of calibre .22 ammunition without any problems. All accessories of the GSG-5 have been retained unchanged for the GSG-522.
